We stopped in Dolcezza for an after lunch sweet treat. The atmosphere is fitting for a coffee/gelato shop and has limited seating. We were promptly served and got to sample flavors. The service was prompt and very knowledgeable of what products are in their gelato! We settled on pistachio, mascarpone and berries (our favorite), dark chocolate fudge, and dulce de leche. We have traveled to Italy and can safely say this is the best gelato stateside! Highly recommended!

The cutest coffee shop! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Came in here to kill time before my firm's dinner and I needed a cup of coffee after my commute from NY to DC; saw this shop and walked right in. It's pleasant when you leave your town and go somewhere that you're greeted so nicely!

With the hot weather, I was craving ice cream, and I'm glad we found Dolcezza Gelato & Coffee in Dupont Circle. It's a lovely ice cream spot with a great selection of flavors. I got a two-scoop combo: Black Sesame - Rich and a great depth of flavor. Thai Coconut - Super fresh, not overly sweet, and just the right balance of creaminess. If I had to pick a favorite, I'd go with the Thai Coconut. Definitely coming back to try more flavors! Perfect spot for a refreshing treat in the heat.

Amazing and unique flavors of gelato. I had the affogato with hazelnut crunch gelato and it was very good!

This is a cute welcoming gelato shop that also serves coffee. The gelato here is top notch and you can't really go wrong with any option! They offer you unlimited samples. My go to flavors are the dark chocolate fudge and the mascarpone and berries. Perfect combination of bitter and sweet. If you are in the area, you must try the gelato here!

I cried the pistachio and the Dulce de Leche with coconut flavors. I love them both! They also have a table and lots of chairs for seating, which is pretty uncommon for an ice cream spot.

If you are in the D.C area, Dolcezza is a must visit if you are craving a sweet treat! My absolute favorite was the Marscapone and Berries flavor. The service is great and even if there is a line outside, it goes by pretty quickly. The shop is cute, and they let you try out as many samples as you want! The next time I am in DC, I will personally make a pit stop to Dolcezza for this flavor.

Quickly stopped by for a lil sweet treat after dinner and got ourselves some gelato and hot chocolate. The place is nice and bright and the staff were very helpful! Great ambiance and they were more than happy to let you try out some samples. Got the pistachio and hazelnut flavors. Nice and creamy. The pistachio tasted like real pistachios and not at all artificial. Nothing has overly bright coloring indicative of artificial colors. Great product overall. Also got the seasonal hot chocolate. Has some cinnamon in there, tastes like champurrado. Wish the marshmallows weren't the tiny dehydrated stuff for the price but overall great quality hot cocoa as well.

After a dinner at Thai Chef we stopped by here on the way back to the car to get some coffee and gelato. It's not quite freezing yet so gelato was not out of the question in my opinion. Store probably gets a lot of foot traffic as the whole time we were there, there was a steady stream of customers popping in and out. I got a small which is 2 scoops and you can mix the flavors. I opted for Hazelnut Crackle and Coffee and Cookies. Definitely preferred the Hazelnut flavor more. The coffee flavor wasn't strong enough in my opinion. My bf got the honey crisp apple and the other was avocado honey orange. The apple flavor was strong but the avocado honey orange was a bit mellower, with no one flavor quite being prominent.

I'm officially in LOVE! After a delicious lunch date, my boyfriend surprised me with dessert and I'm so glad that he selected this place. Ambiance: cute and cozy with limited seating inside and very few outside. But, it was packed in here so don't anticipate finding a seat after 3pm. Service: the staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations on gelato pairings. Selection: I had the hazelnut crackle with Dulce de Leche cookies and my favorite of the 2 was the hazelnut. It simply won my tastebuds! The Dulce was delicious as well but I ate the hazelnut first so that taste stuck with me. My boyfriend had the vanilla bean with butter pecan and he raved about his selection. Best gelato I've had in a while and it was also helpful to know that they serve coffee, teas, pastries, and lattes in the early part of the day so I'd love to try those. Price: for both orders (2 scoop gelato) we paid a total of $17. Not bad.
